Terms and Conditions
Payment Options
For group classes and course material, fees are payable at the time of enrolment by credit or debit card on the website or via direct bank transfer.
For private lessons, concession priced classes, or any other services we offer, fees are payable by direct bank transfer only and an invoice will be issued by the office.
Refund for a Group Course
Fees are refundable until one week prior to the commencement of the class. After this point, fees are non-refundable.
Textbooks cannot be refunded after they have been collected.
Students are entitled to a full refund if the language centre had to cancel the class that they have enrolled in.
Refund for Private Tuition and Gift Vouchers
We offer a 10% discount if students pay for 10 hours in advance.
You will be expected to take your 10 hours on a regular basis within 6 months from the date you paid. Fees are non-refundable after this point.
Classes which have been cancelled less than 24 hours in advance will be charged.
Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of the payment and are non-refundable after this point.
Catch Up Classes and Online Classes
We use Trello, an online project management tool for your class. Here you can find your homework and all handouts from the classes from each week. If you have to miss a lesson, you are able to log in from your computer or phone (Trello has a great app) and catch up on the lesson from home. You are also able to share links, ideas and questions.
We do not provide discounts if you miss a scheduled group class, but our teacher will offer additional support in the next class, and you can arrange one or more private lessons at an additional cost.
General Terms
The East Melbourne Language Centre reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to terminate the provision of its services in the event that it determines that it is appropriate to do so.
